These patches of Black Bear Hair feature long glossy guard hairs that are excellent as a winging material.

Bear hair is the primary winging material for hair wing salmon and steelhead flies and streamers. The dense underfur makes excellent coarse dubbing for extra “buggy” looking nymphs.
