Class Overview

• Introduction to gear: fly rod, line and reel

• Demonstrations and practice: roll cast, overhead cast, shooting line and false cast

• Overview on the methodology of fly selection

• Knot tying practice and discussion

• Practicing Catch and release

• Applying learned skills with fishing opportunities

Class Details

• Students to buy 1 day fishing license for class date

• No equipment required; bring your own gear if you already have some

• Dress for being outside for 4 hours

• Class is 4 hours long: 10 am - 2 pm

• Students to provide water and lunch for themselves

• Class size is limited to 6
