Consignment of Fly Tackle
Motor City Anglers is a large consignee of used fly rods, reels and other fly fishing products including gear bags and boats. We have been consigning used fly tackle for 10 years.
Here is how it works:
Bring your gear to the shop and we can discuss with you your timeframe and ideal sale prices. We can work to sell product quickly or for the best price - it's up to you. We photograph and write up a description of the gear. We then list the products on all of our sales channels (web, Instagram, Shopify, eBay and instore.)
Don't leave near the shop? Call us at 248-653-5132 or email us at niall@mca.fish to discuss your used gear. If you agree to consign your gear with us we can send you a pre-paid shipping label to cover shipping costs of the gear.
Once the item sells, we give the buyer 30 days for inspection. After the 30 days, you can receive either cash or store credit.
If you choose store credit, we do not charge a commission. You will receive the sale price less any selling fees such as shipping, insurance and credit card fees
If you choose cash we deduct our commission of 20% and selling fees mentioned above.
